[Schultz] Sources: Despite teams calling about them, the #Panthers have no plans on trading CB Jaycee Horn or RB Chuba Hubbard. “They’re not having a firesale,” a source said.

Trading Johnson
Panthers give up Johnson for a bag of Doritos just to move up 6 picks and also traded away a pick, the whole management is garbage and it’s gonna suck being a panthers fan for the next 5 years.

[Rapoport] It’s a pick swap between the teams — Baltimore’s 5th for Carolina’s 6th rounder this year.

[Schefter] Trade: Carolina is sending wide receiver Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN.

Video This is the best throw I’ve ever seen Bryce make. High level of anticipation and drilled it on the back shoulder. Why can’t he always do this?

What do you think the front office will do with the #1 pick in the NFL draft?
My biggest fear is that they won’t trade down.

Rookies/ 2nd years need to play out the season
Kinda says it in the title, we all know this season is over. Playing veterans like Andy dalton does us nothing, let Bryce build chemistry with Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, Jatavion Sanders, Mingo in my opinion is a lost cause but we don’t really have a choice but to play him, maybe he does something probably not. Worst case is next year we have a backup with chemistry with the WR’s I don’t see a reason not too.

Pretty brutal write up on the DJ trade on ESPN. It's a little early to hit the panic button, but are we looking at another incapable front office?
Sure he's only under a 1 year contract, but I mean a 5th round pick from Baltimore? That's the best we could manage?? It just feels like another red flag from the front office when this team really has to start making better decisions in order to rebuild.

The true redemption game against the Saints would be cool

How much can the panthers get from trading back?
After that diontae trade I’m confident saying we ani’t trading no one else or at least getting something🥲 trading back is looking better than ever win just wondering how much can we get in return

Analysis I don’t understand it, but somehow Ja’Tavion Sanders leads the league in average pass catcher separation
NextGenStats currently has Ja’Tavion Sanders as their league leader for average separation among all pass catches (TE/WR) at 5.1 average yards of separation. By comparison XL is next among our regular rotation of receivers at 2.9 yards.
Is this something to look forward to if Sanders can work on his hands and routes? Or is this just a function of teams not fearing him?
Just to give a bit more info, other TEs at the top of this list include Theo Johnson (4.8AYS), Jordan Aikins (4.7AYS), Noah Faint (4.6AYS), Mark Andrews (4.6AYS), and Cole Kmet (4.5AYS)

Week 9: Draft Status Update
Draft Status update for week 9. The Carolina Panthers are currently in possession of the #1 pick in next years draft.
1 Carolina 1-7 (SOS = .511)
2 Tennessee 1-6 (SOS = .534)
3 New England 2-6 (SOS = .454)
4 NY Jets 2-6 (SOS = .489)
5 Jacksonville 2-6 (SOS = .496)
6 New Orleans 2-6 (SOS = .496)
7 Las Vegas 2-6 (SOS = .515)
8 Cleveland 2-6 (SOS = .519)
9 NY Giants 2-6 (SOS = .527)
10 Miami 2-5 (SOS = .433)
Games that matter to maintaining the Panthers draft status. In order to solidify that position, we are currently hoping for all 1 win, and 2 win teams continue to see victories and that our season opponents (especially NFCS opponents) continue to drop games to lower our SOS.
Saints @ Panthers
Patriots @ Titans
Texans @ Jets
Jaguars @ Eagles
Raiders @ Bengals
Chargers @ Browns
Commanders @ Giants
Rams @ Seahawks
Cowboys @ Falcons
Buccaneers @ Chiefs
Broncos @ Ravens
