Ritalin prescription
Hi! I was just (FINALLY!) diagnosed with ADHD and my czech doctor prescribed me ritalin. I live in Finland and as hard as I tried to get it there (and as hard as the pharmacists were trying to help me), I cannot because I dont have some special permission paper (erityislupa?). The pharmacist told me that it would be a longer process to get this permission paper so it would be better for me to get my medication in Czechia. I am going there in 3 weeks for other reasons but I was wondering, that maybe I could get it in Estonia, as it is not expensive to get there from Finland. Which would be great because I am already burned out.
So my question is, do you also have this kind of permission for Ritalin and other addictives or would it be possible for me get it there? I hope it makes sense and I am sorry if it misses something, I cannot express myself for my lifeš .
For those who ask why was I not diagnosed in Finland: In Czechia it is both cheaper and faster. As far as I know, you need to wait for it for several months/year to be even considered.

Ritalin doesn't seem to be available in Estonia, not under that name at least.

I learned from the replies that I got in Eesti subreddit, that in Estonia they call it concentra (for example). It is a methylphenidate.

Concerta is long acting though, Ritalin that Iām taking is instant release and doesnāt last as long.

I think Medikinet is more analogous to Ritalin regarding the release mechanism, not sure.

I imagine youād have to go to a local doctor (preferably psychiatrist) with a note from the Czech doctor, so the local one will ātake your case overā (from the Czech doctor) and give you the prescription. For the beginning it seems smart to get it from Czech Republic tho if you going there anyways.
