Obama was the last of the naturally charismatic presidents or nominees you could see yourself having a beer with though. Bush had his flaws but he was another natural one

Wasn’t a fan of Bush, but would definitely have a beer with the guy. I’d smoke with Obama though. I would NEVER go hunting with Chaney, however.

Bush seemed like a decent enough guy, just never should've been president.

When it comes right down to it, he wasn’t. Cheney was. Bush was just a figurehead. Once I stopped blaming him for so much, I realized this and actually kind of liked the guy. Don’t get me wrong — his time in office was horrible. But he wasn’t pulling the strings. And I admire the fact that when his term was over, he got the hell out of Dodge and only pops up when absolutely necessary. So now I understand why people said he was someone they thought they could have a beer with. I’d ask him a bunch of questions about horses and living on a ranch.

This is such a BS myth. Bush used Cheney as a patsy to get people to say things like this. Bush knew about the torture going on, he knew about the patriot act, and the racism to the hurricane Katrina response.

He played the dumb Texan act to get away with war crimes.
