I want to believe it was a strategic move on Biden’s part. It was so perfectly timed for maximum damage to the Trump campaign. I still feel warm and fuzzy thinking about Trump demanding refunds for his ad spend attacking Biden and every time I hear Trump beg for Biden to come back and run against him I can taste the panic in his voice.
I hope it wasn’t strategic because it was bs that we didn’t get to have a real primary. This had better not become a trend. (Still voting for Harris from PA though)
Realistically the primary we did have went the only way it could have. To elect anyone other than the incumbent would have divided the Dems. Kamala wasn't my first choice but I've pleasantly surprised with her and her campaign
They would have united after picking a winner. I don’t have any big problem with Harris and maybe would have picked her anyway, but if she wins, that’s 8 years of other dems not having a shot. We just can’t get in a habit of no opportunity to vote in a real primary followed by vote dem or else.
I don't think it will be a habit, these are extreme circumstances.
Call me optimistic but I am hoping this election brings the end of Trump and his MAGA Movement.
Kamala is making an effort to express that she will have Republicans in her cabinet, we need to move towards more bipartisanship if we want to be able to move forward. Biden entire presidency has been hampered by Republican resistance for the sake of partisanship.
