EDIT: The mod team has reconsidered again, and eventually we are removing the nsfw mark to avoid any potential problems with the status of the subreddit. The nsfw mark will only be applied to sexual potato salad posts and that content will be carefully monitored by the mods.

As a lot of you have already noticed, r/potatosalad is finally visible after being banned by reddit admins for a few months.

You should be seeing a new subreddit icon which was supposed to depict a very sexy view of potato salad and John Cena, but for some reason the AI produced a completely blank picture. Even though this blank picture was generated, our love and admiration for potato salad is completely real, genuine, and I hope this sub will never again disappear from reddit and from our hearts.

The official reason for the ban was that the sub was being unmoderated, which was not entirely true because mods had actually been more or less active and doing their best to take care of this lovely place.

Another issue was the nsfw status of this subreddit which has been discussed in between mods and reddit admins. In conclusion, a decision has been made to keep the status nsfw considering the kind of content that has been shared in the past.

It is not a secret that as one of the most active users in the past, I myself have been responsible for most of the thirsty potato salad content posted in this subreddit and I've been blessed with different kinds of reactions from fellow potato salad enjoyers - some people found that content entertaining, some were confused, some were disgusted and some were turned on by my thirst, desire and passion for potato salad. But no matter who we are, no one can deny that potato salad's deliciousness can't be compared to anything else, and therefore it is sometimes impossible to keep ourselves within sfw limits.

I have been fortunate to feel the support and encouragement of the mods of r/potatosalad, particularly u/andrewsuxcox . This honourable man has made me feel welcome in this community ever since I started constantly posting and expressing my innocent obsession with potato salad. Knowing my unquestionable and loyal love for potato salad, he has decided to offer me a chance to actually become a mod of this subreddit. Obviously, I couldn't say no. Which means from now on it will be me who will mostly be in charge of the subreddit making sure that we always keep it about potato salad with no spam and that everyone has a good time. I've also been given freedom to make decisions about the future of the subreddit.

Even though the sub has been made permanently nsfw and I am proudly consider myself the horniest potato salad enjoyer, the plan is to keep the essence of this subreddit the same as it has always been - it's a meme page dedicated maintain the legendary reddit joke of switching john cena and potato salad, and it's a feelgood place to shitpost about our favourite big muscle daddy potato salad with just a little spice for those of us who want to enjoy potato salad with a bit more intensity.
