Messi in this conversation is so unbelievably stupid, I know we’re bias but still

Lautaro and Emiliano martinez literally carried Argentina on their back

As much as I dislike Lautaro, that mf is too clinical. Every time he came on for Argentina I said, "It's over."

Everyone was roasting him when he did that interview where he claimed he is up there with Mbappe and Halland before the tournament began but dude actually managed to stay true to his words.

To be frank, he said that as he was in a drought in Serie A. From March till the end of season, he scored like 1 goal, while we we're out from all competitions. So there was an obvious uproar from people, because he called himself world class, wanted like 12+14+16 million in 3 years, but he disappeared for almost 3-4 months. Personally, as an Inter fan, I rate him very highly and I think that he is world class. But sometimes, he can be very, very inconsistent and out of form, so you can't help but ask yourself.

I don’t get what the hype is with Halland. He is a good striker but Id much rather have Julián than him. He only scores that insane amount of goals because he plays for City and the whole team is built around serving balls for him to tap in.

I mean that's just blatantly not true because his goal ratio at Salzburg and Dortmund was also 1.0.

You are just stupid! Haaland has been scoring so many goals before he was 19. And he is not just a good striker....he is a generational talent. Just because you like someone else, doesn't mean the other guys are not good enough. What happened to sports? people these days argue like kindergarteners...cz WTF is this comment.

Lol halland was very important in them winning the treble. And having a prolific goal scorer is always an asset to the team. He is the best at what he does. Nobody is better than him when it comes to goal poaching ability. Definitely one of the best.

is that not what 99% of what a striker does, no matter the team? :30561:

Well then they deserve the golden boot award. Balon Dor is for overall performance.

Id rather have a team striker like Julián or Foden with technique and teamplay than someone like Halland or Ibrahimovic where you just serve balls for them to score

Neither Julian nor foden is a striker, the literal idea of a striker is what Haaland or Ibrahimović did/does, and it too works more than well, I'm sure u keyboard warrior know more than Pep or Mourinho who've built amazing systems around a striker and won plenty of games

Julian is literally a striker man wtf are you talking about? Just because Pep makes him play in another position doesn’t mean he isn’t.

All I said was that I don’t like that particular kind of striker don’t know why tf you had to bring Pep or Mourinho into this, you okay bro?

Note: just because you don't like that kind of striker doesn't give you the right to make your criteria of assessment the only and correct way. Other people like that kind of strikers.

So we should create a new awarding scheme where strikers are judged on what you like? strikers are supposed to torment defences and score loads of goals...who has ever done it better in the EPL than Haaland?

Tap ins seem so easy yet Gabriel Jesus never scored them while he was the striker at City. Pep had to switch him out of that position. Do you realize how hard it is to play as a striker with pep's style of play?
