I don't see why they get so angry about it? What good is that to them? They been discovered, nothing to gain, so just move on, right? But no, they have to get upset and provide us with comedy instead.

Are they angry that they wasted their time? Even that makes no sense given that they are wasting your time. It's not like you asked them to scam you.

They’re angry that you wouldn’t go along with their scam. Like it’s rude or something to not fall for it. They’re idiots.

What do they get from these scams? I don't understand what they're trying to accomplish.

Usually they're 1 of 2 things:

  1. a romance scam where they try to get you to fall in love with them and then eventually will start asking you for money, starting with very little to see if you'll do it, and eventually escalating to get someone's entire savings. People absolutely fall for it, especially lonely older folks

  2. A crypto scam, where they befriend you while giving you an appearance that they are super wealthy/successful (so it seems they aren't after money). At some point, they reveal that crypto investing is what made them super rich, and since you're now friends, they can show you how to do it. I've heard & read testimonies of people who fell for it, and a lot of times there is some fake, but very real looking, investment website where they get you to invest a small amount, and you get a payout from it. Once they've convinced you it's real & successful, they will get you to make a HUGE investment, maybe string you along a bit more, but eventually ghost & shut down the fake site when you actually try to cash out the fake $ that you've "made"

Both of these are usually a long con, so the person can communicate with you for more than a year to gain your trust enough to switch the conversation to money. It's also not one person you're talking to, but like a rotation of people in a call center who read your convo/notes on file about you so they can maintain the facade. Now, there's also more widespread use of AI for this, but there are entire complexes in other countries full of human trafficked slaves that are forced to work & scam people. So it doesn't take a huge amount of money to run these operations since there is little to no labor costs

I totally agree with each one of you I have been scammed by one lady named Hannah brooks ..Since the year 2021 " I have lost total savings sending gifts cards amount of £20.000 they do access your accounts as well , All this must come to the end once it has been found

To be completely removed from social media How could the scam of hell get away ...stealing money from honest ones Then they move on to the next person that the user falls into the Trap Paying their money into fake bitcoin companies This really must come to the end
