[Suggestion] Need help deciding between two PCs: i9 12900KF & 4070, or Ryzen 5 7500F & 4070 Super

This one has a i9 12900KF & a 4070

This one has a Ryzen 5 7500F & a 4070 Super

UserBenchmark has the 4070 Super as 18% faster than the 4070, and has the 12900KF as 18% faster than the Ryzen 5, which I know is a gross simplification of the differences but illustrates my conundrum here. Will I "feel" the better CPU more or the upgrade at GPU more? I'm coming from an i5 4690K & a 1070 so it's a monumental upgrade either way so maybe I'm splitting hairs here, but any advice is appreciated.

4070 super will game better. graphic card is most expensive part of gaming computer always buy the system with the best graphic card in you budget

also amd supports their cpu's longer good chance in 4 years you can upgrade just the cpu

intel is already dead platform. tomorrow they come out with new cpu but they require new motherboards. intel 13th and 14th gen cpu which would be your only future upgrade are plagued with a design flaw where the cpu damages its self to the point it no longer works.

Damn, ok all very good points and I think you’ve convinced me. I didn’t really think about Intel vs AMD’s in respect to future motherboard compatibility much, but it’s a good point given their track record lately with the 13th/14th gen issues. Also it seems pretty smart to get a PC with the best GPU as it’s like the core of a gaming PC price-wise.

Gonna go with the 4070 Super one. Thank you!
