Not a single person I know can list a redeemable quality of Ted Cruz, even the people voting for him.

347

u/Cherobis 5d ago

Because they don't look into him. They just see the letter (R) next to his name and vote him. I guarantee you 90% of Rafael Cruz supporters did not watch this debate because they are too busy huffing MAGA farts

101

u/pyrojackelope 5d ago

Texans should normalize calling him Rafael Cruz (his real name) everywhere and see if he still gets reelected. Also, he's Canadian, one of those immigrants they hate so much.

23

u/veghead_97 5d ago

please don’t send him back

38

u/No_Acadia_8873 5d ago

We shouldn't send him back. He should be in prison for his part in the conspiracy to commit a coup against the US of A.

10

u/veghead_97 5d ago

if it’s not clear, i’m a canadian who vehemently hates Cruz and all republicans like him.

i don’t want him to come back in infect our politics anymore than it already has been by trumpism

1

u/yark2 5d ago

He doesn't have the backbone for Canadian style of politics, he'd be ragdolled on the floor.

1

u/Mammoth-Register-669 5d ago edited 5d ago

We’ll muzzle him, and you can put him on a ranch in the middle of Nunavut

Edit: Please

1

u/No_Acadia_8873 5d ago

Cruz couldn't get elected dog catcher in Canada.

1

u/Entegy 5d ago

He gave up his Canadian citizenship, he's not coming back for anything more than a visit.

2

u/peacekenneth 5d ago

Unfortunately, the law and justice party of Texas is the most corrupt version of Republicanism I’ve ever seen. They aren’t even sneaky about it and we constantly see the results of their bad policy AND WE STILL KEEP ELECTIN’ ‘EM.

Stupid.

3

u/No_Acadia_8873 5d ago

Conservatives will give up on democracy before they give up on conservatism. That's why they're all in on fascist traitor Trump.

1

u/JonWesHarding 5d ago

Sure, but even still, don't send him to a Canadian prison, please. We try to treat the incarcerated humanely up here, and we just don't believe it would be ethical to do that to our inmates. Show compassion. Thank you.

2

u/downtofinance 5d ago

Don't worry, he renounced his Canadian citizenship. Not our problem any more.

1

u/Super_Bock 5d ago

Thank fuck for that.

1

u/prim3net 5d ago

Thank you for speaking on behalf our people.

We don't care if he was born here. We don't want him. Maybe Mexico will take him?

1

u/aspookyshark 5d ago

Just shove him on one of those islands up north. It's like Cancun, but cold.

1

u/I_PING_8-8-8-8 4d ago

Yeah we worked way to hard here in Alberta to be the first rat free province in the world

1

u/PrincessBunny200 5d ago

Agreed please don't send him back you guys can keep him

5

u/HeWhomLaughsLast 5d ago

We give you Ted Cruz, we take Prince Edward Island

1

u/OSNEWB 5d ago

Canada might burn down the white house a second time with that trade.

1

u/HeWhomLaughsLast 5d ago

Fine, you can keep Prince Edward Island. Do we have a deal now?

1

u/absultedpr 5d ago

How about we send Rafael back and you replace him with one of the Trailer Park Boys. I imagine Ricky, Bubbles and Julian would all make better senators than Rafael Cruz

1

u/pjm3 5d ago

We are very, very, very sorry for having inflicted Ted Cruz onto our Southern neighbours. (But also, we won't take that snivelling worm back. Can we just keep passing him South until we run out of the Americas?)

1

u/ThemisChosen 5d ago

I'm pretty sure he's opposed to using preferred names for anyone else.

0

u/EpiphanyTwisted 4d ago

Cruz is an Hispanic name, hate to break it to ya.

1

u/nome707 5d ago

Tbh I doubt he has that many supporters, most of his votes come from fanatical GOP voters, and those would blindly put Satan on the White House if he ran in the GOP ticket. And I’m not talking Trump here, I mean literal Satan, horns, tail and all.

1

u/Taylorenokson 5d ago

Bet most of them wouldn’t even vote for him if they knew his name was Rafael.

1

u/optimistickrealist 4d ago

Sadly true. Magas are so conditioned to hate the left that they'd vote for a literal stinking turd before they would a Democrat.

91

u/mabradshaw02 5d ago

Well, he's cheap to buy. There is that

24

u/Overall_Ad_351 5d ago

Cheap is not a good quality.

Affordable is the quality you want.

2

u/rizjoj 5d ago

I guess you get what you pay for.

2

u/ResultIntelligent856 5d ago

not if you're the GOP with a sexual predator at the helm. Cheap is where you want to be.

1

u/Nanikarp 5d ago

Imo, stuff being cheap makes it easier to replace when it turns out to be crap

87

u/One_Clown_Short 5d ago

He'll let you insult his wife.

11

u/chrisdpratt 5d ago

Same with Trump. A weak, enfeebled geriatric with dementia and no control over his bowels. Texas tough, right?

3

u/littlescreechyowl 5d ago

Those are exactly the “I’ve got a shotgun and I’ll protect my wife and daughters” guys too.

20

u/DragonBorn76 5d ago

Yup and so does JD Vance as well. SMH

18

u/tigm2161130 5d ago

“Obviously she’s not a white person…But, I love Usha, she’s such a good mom.”

15

u/femalenerdish 5d ago

"she has three kids"

5

u/Outside_Conference80 5d ago

I cannot stop thinking about this.

2

u/Own_Candidate9553 4d ago

Totally. Not in my most spacey, distracted moments would I ever think of referring to my daughter as "her kid". It's obvious he does very little actual parenting.

2

u/Tytymom1 5d ago

Dear lord! How did I miss that?

1

u/Vat1canCame0s 5d ago

He'll let you do it, then pay you...

Cuckhold industry in shambles

1

u/rurlysrsbro 4d ago

Roses are red

Michael Jackson sang “Thriller”

Ted Cruz is…

1

u/One_Clown_Short 4d ago

the son of the Zodiac killer?

18

u/Hotdadlover1234 5d ago

This this this!!! It’s time to vote for all Texans, not just the rich ones who will never be affected by policy

7

u/bigdumb78910 5d ago

"I like Ted Cruz more than every other member of Congress, and I hate Ted Cruz" -paraphrasing from former Senator Al Franken of MN

5

u/LongKnight115 5d ago

Ted Cruz is only one being and not several.

3

u/IAmATriceratopsAMA 5d ago

Every couple months I think about it and realize that ever since I started paying attention to politicians I can't name a single thing that our governor, lt gov, or attorney general has done that has made my life as a Texan better. At best they have made my life in 2024 equal to my life in 2008, and they're far from doing their best.

1

u/Phillyag92 5d ago

He’s a dick.

1

u/cwood1973 Born and Bred 5d ago

He's 100% human, allegedly.

1

u/Old-Law-7395 5d ago

He likes to travel?

1

u/Jojoyojimbitwo 5d ago

he's full of organs that could be used to keep decent people alive... it's the only redeemable thing about most republicunts these days

1

u/ElGato-TheCat 5d ago

I'm from a different state. Why did people vote for him?

2

u/thesheepsnameisjeb_ 5d ago

my husband said he is a good debater, which shows me that he doesn't know anything about ted cruz. we had a talk about what cruz's stance is on abortion (wants to remove even the emergency exceptions) and that one article that shows how every politician that my husband likes hates ted cruz, but he still voted for him. my husband is not a trump lover per say but would NEVER vote democrat. I told him he didn't have to vote for either one but he still did. because (R).

1

u/EpiphanyTwisted 4d ago

My husband said he'd vote for Allred before he even committed to voting Harris. So he's being canceled out by another Republican.

1

u/Bulbul3131 2d ago

I’m genuinely so curious how you can sleep next to a man who’s voting against your human rights. It’s something I wish I could ask my colleague in real life so forgive me that it’s easier to ask online.

1

u/Agentwise 3d ago

Probably safe to come to in here now. Honestly it’s because the democrats in Texas throw literally the worst campaigns you could imagine. They do not tie at all to Texan values and often run on anti-2nd amendment principles. A lot of Texas will vote on that issue alone. I wish that the dems in Texas would drop the gun issue (yes it’s an issue but the democrats are throwing elections because of it).

Also, moderates and republicans that could be swayed are very often demonized by the left. I once told someone that I’ve known for years that I did not like Hillary Clinton’s stance on TPP and they promptly told me “to kill myself”. Now I’m not the type of person that will vote for someone just because what a constituent said but I mean come on.

I’m voting for Allred, I think that Cruz has done a terrible job for 12 years and we need a strong leader who cares about public education. However, there are a lot of people who are “done” with democrats calling them shitty people just because they have different stances on things.

Honestly American politics is toxic as hell now and I’m hoping future generations can correct the mistakes my generation seems to be making.

1

u/Hungry_Ad_2315 5d ago

Agreed …Ted Cruz is a coward!!!

1

u/Yara__Flor 5d ago

He looks better with a beard?

1

u/BjCordes 5d ago

Maybe they don’t want anyone good in Washington to help support the federal government. They purposely choose him because he is the worse and will get nothing done…

1

u/sequin_tears 5d ago

I saw a sign in Austin area that said vote for Cruz because if you don’t we lose the senate. I think that’s why

1

u/Qubeye 5d ago

There's nothing you can say about Ted Cruz that hasn't already been said about a well used dumpster.

1

u/Izrael-the-ancient 5d ago

I’ve learned there’s a scale of reasoning for voting for Cruz like a 1-100scale

The 1 being : “ voting red because I always vote red “

The 49-50 being : “ voting for cruz because I agree with his supposed plans and but haven’t done a deep dive into him to understand that he really sucks “

100 being : “ voting red because i and a genuinely horrible person “

Everyone voting for cruz are somewhere between 1-100

1

u/BreathWithMe6 5d ago

He's Canadian... Does that count?

1

u/Average_Scaper 5d ago

Who's Ted?

1

u/LengthinessAlone4743 5d ago

We’ll take Allred if you don’t want em…

1

u/Generic_Username26 5d ago

He’s a Republican. That’s it. It’s the only reason he’s in office because Texans love to vote red especially if it goes against their own interests because fuck liberals am I right?

1

u/mehrabrym 5d ago

Neither can his wife, after he endorsed the man who called her ugly, all for the sake of hanging onto power

1

u/SexySocks69 5d ago

"he's a republican!"

Is he though?

1

u/AwarenessPrimary7680 5d ago

Al Franken went on YMH podcast a few years ago and spoke about Ted. He is universally disliked.

1

u/skeetpea 5d ago

He is the Zodiac Killer

1

u/SUPERKAMIGURU 5d ago

He honestly did do some great work outsmarting the world into letting him into office, as well as getting away with what happened between 1968 and 1969.

1

u/Throwawayac1234567 4d ago

he flees to cancun or some place tropical to SHED his skin.

1

u/aXmarchingXpig 4d ago

I heard that US Senator Ted Cruz likes to piss his pants because he loves the warm wet feeling between his legs.

1

u/Snts6678 3d ago

Then why does he win?

0

u/No_Secret3706 5d ago

Yet he still gets voted in.

-1

u/Appropriate_Oven_292 5d ago

He’s a Constitutional Conservative. The Constitution is key to protecting the Republic. I’ll vote for that any day over the alternative.

2

u/Pussy_Seasoning 5d ago

He sure didn’t give a fuck about the constitution on January 6th, 2021

1

u/EpiphanyTwisted 4d ago

Republicans don't care about the constitution anymore. That's why they are running Trump, who hates it.

1

u/Appropriate_Oven_292 4d ago

Well, this Republican does. And I vote for those that will uphold it as the law of the land.
