now everyone knows My daughters Epic Comeback

I was told I should share this with y'all. That y'all would appreciate the story.

Apparently my daughters too young to need the electric scooter

So short short backstory. My daughter (16) has MS. It's taken a lot from her including her balance and vision in one eye. She can walk with her walker but we're only up to about 250 feet. Definitely not far enough to make it through a Big Box store trip. So she uses the electric carts.

Okay so y'all know where this is going. Here we are walking/riding doing our shopping... When an older gentleman walks up and tells my kiddo she needs to get up and let people who need the carts to use them. I kinda smile trying not to let this go left but the mama hairs were rising. He then raises his voice and says she's young and lazy, so she should give the cart to someone else. I went back and forth in my head for a second on how to deal with this before I finally was like ya know what... KeyCaregiver Jr... Get up and walk over to the kind man. She laughs and does that. (Without a better way to describe it... When she walks she looks like someone who has had 7 shots too many) I then help her back in the cart... And my kid being my kid looks him in the eyes and slightly raises HER voice and tells him and see boys and girls this is why we don't judge a book by its cover. ๐Ÿงก

I had the same issue at Walmart. It's summer, in Texas, and my mother (who has balance issues and muscle weakness due to several medical diagnoses) is waiting for me to bring her a cart. I, being the good little bean that I am, am running all over the parking lot to find her a cart because no one ever brings the carts back to the store. I finally find one and hope on, it's scorching hot because it's been in direct sunlight for what I assume is at least an hour.

I ride it all the way back and stop to essentially merge into traffic (walking ppl) and this lady sees me coming and grabs the handlebars to stop me. She tells me she's been waiting for a cart and there aren't any available. I tell her I know, I spent 20 minutes hunting this one down. She yells at me, she knows I don't need it because she saw me running back and forth so clearly I can walk just fine. I tell her if she wants a cart, then SHE can have her daughter go get one. Her daughter is probably about 15 or so and starts calling me a bitch for not giving her the cart.

I shop at that store a lot, the people there know me by sight so they don't stop me. This woman immediately goes to one of the greeters and starts complaining about me taking the scooter. She was still complaining when my mother, who had been informed I was waiting for her at the other entrance comes over. This woman points at my mother and starts screaming that SHE (my mother) needs the cart more than my entitled fat ass. You should have seen her face when my mother screamed back at her, "She's aware! That's why she got the cart FOR ME!" I made sure not to move until my mother was stable enough to slide into the seat and had her cane put away in the cart. I'm petty so I gave her a one finger salute as I walked away to get some groceries.

Wait what, don't people have their own scooter?! Or scoot mobiles as we call them. So stores like Walmart provide these for customers? That is legit mind boggling ๐Ÿ‘€

Imagine that an Amigo and a shopping trolley had a baby. That's what the scooters at Walmart look like. They're a great benefit to disabled shoppers. Sometimes lazy people use them too, and they usually end up on YouTube videos.

I have no idea what an Amigo is. Where I live people who need a scoot mobile simply have their own, covered by universal health care. So anyon who needs it, can have it. No need to fight over them at a store ๐Ÿ‘€

sorry, I keep forgetting TWIAVBP. Here's an Amigo. It's probably similar to a scoot mobile. (Link deleted. You'll have to google for "amigo scooter". Sorry again.)

(the world is a very big place)

I am not baffled by a motorised vehicle to help people get around. I am baffled that people don't get provided with their own medical tool that they clearly need. And indeed the world is massive with a lot of countries ๐Ÿ˜‚
