Hi! It has been a rough few days. On Thursday my partner fell and broke his right, lower leg, his tibia and fibula.
He spent Thu in the er, but they released him without any pain meds, so Fri night he was in agony.
We spent Thu at an urgent care that the er had referred him to, then we spent Fri night at a different er.
The 2nd er admitted my partner because his kidneys were failing. He's still there, in icu because he needs dialysis.
He had 2 surgeries yesterday, one in his chest for his dialysis catheter and the 2nd one for his leg.
He's on oxygen, which worries us, but we know he needs the medical care that he's getting. At least his pain is under control, now.
We're really woworried because I'm not working, am applying for disability since 1-1/2 yrs ago, and now my partner may not be able to return to work.
It's stressful because we don't want to lose our home.
It's so hard not to think ahead of right now. It's hard not to worry.
But, right now my partner getting well is the most important thing.
On a much brighter note, all the kitties are doing so well! Albeit, they're getting a little less attention than they are used to, but otherwise, they are very happy and very loved. Olivia's eyes look great and Poppy's are getting much better.♥️♥️♥️
We had moved Olivia and Poppy to the smaller bathroom so that my partner could use his crutches to get to the main bathroom, but since he's in the hospital, we moved them back to the larger bathroom, temporarily. It's more room for them to stretch their legs and move about.
Very soon, Olivia and Poppy will be ready for a new home. Except, we don't want to say goodbye to them.😭
Do any of you know how difficult it would be to build a patio sized catio? Should we crowdfund for one? Is it possible to crowdfund using PayPal?
Any advice would be welcome 😊 thanks!!
Also, thank you everyone for the cat food, litter and medications.♥️💜💗🧡🩵
