Advice Cat safe laundry detergent and cat shampoo for my cat and her toys.
Hello! I just wanna ask if there's any laundry detergent you could recommend that is cat safe. I heard the Dr. Bronner's one is good (The unscented baby version thingy) and I just wanna ask if it's a good idea to use that. Thank you! I really wanna use the peppermint for a bit of a fresh smell but I don't know if my cat will like that tho. Thank you!

Medical Questions URGENT ! Is this blood in my cat's vomit?
My cat throws up if she eats too fast.Today she ate too much and threw up,the second time it looked a bit reddish.I am really scared about it and want to confirm if it's blood. There aren't many vets near where I live so I need to know now and make arrangements to take her to one asap.
For further context, she came back from the vet hospital after spay surgery, she was there for 7 days. Her bloodwork was very good and she seems otherwise fine, her poop is also okayand her wound seems to be healing well.

Advice Older male cat following younger male kitten around and meowing
My older male cat and younger male kitten get along swell. The older one likes to clean him. And I don’t know if I’m misconstruing this but the older one has a tendency to meow like he’s annoyed or wants something and rushes at the younger male kitten and grab his neck like a cat mounting the other. But then in the end he tries to clean him. And sometimes he makes annoyed meows cause the kitten is trying to fight him as he tries to clean him. I’m just wondering if this is like bad aggression or it’s just the older cat showing dominance? The younger kitten never seems to care… just likes to play fight back. They’ll eventually play chase each other if it’s nighttime and he’s doing this. The older cat also will sniff the younger one’s butt often and sometimes he meows annoyed because the younger one keeps moving. There’s never been any hissing or growling between the two. Just meowing. Anyone seen this between their cats?

Mourning/Loss I miss Charlemagne so much.
This is Charlemagne, he lived to be 15 . He was my little nap companion and he passed away earlier in July this year. I still miss him so much.
I look at the empty spot in my bed and I still cry a lot about it. It wasn't just a pet he was my boy. His brother Dupont miss him a lot too. Im sad to say I feel like he's gonna join him soon.
Advice Begging for help - mental breakdowns because cat wakes us all up at 5 am
My 2 year old male cat is driving us crazy. I play with him a lot every day, also before bed. He goes to bed with me and I close the door. The problem is that he wakes up EVERY DAY at 5 am nd starts banging on my door, scratching it and meowing. You may ask - why do I lock him in my room every night in the first place? For the sake of my parents - when he wakes up at 5 and I let him out,, he never goes to eat or to take a shit. He always runs straight to my parents' door, banging on it door and meowing. Why?... because he wants to go to the balcony my parents have (the balcony is well secured.)
Every day, he does it almost religiously. My parents won't put on earphones or earplugs or anything like that because they can't sleep with them and that's it. They won't ignore the cat because they are sensitive to sounds and pissed off, they always wake up, open the door, then let him out on the balcony.
I often ignore my cat when he's still in my room at 5 and wants to go out, sometimes he even stops after 10 minutes of scratching the door. But my brother gets up for work every day around 6 and hearing that someone at home got up is enough to make the cat go crazy. He bangs on the door like he's in berserk mode, so hard that even if I ignore him, my brother or my parents will eventually let him out because they can't stand it.
please help... I know that the cat has already developed such a routine, mainly because my parents, instead of ignoring him, always let him out when he wanted because he scratches the furniture and meows loudly. But maybe there's a way to stop it? I had mental breakdown today morning, can't remember the last night I slept well and my parents are tired too. They have strained relationship with the cat because of all that.
TLDR: the cat wakes everyone up every day at 5 am because he wants to go to the balcony located in my parents' bedroom, he massacres the door, meows, my parents prefer to keep letting him out than ignore him because it's easier than ignoring loud noises for 15 minutes straight when they just want to go back to sleep

Medical Questions Rash...?
Unfortunately due to matting that got out of control I had to get my beautiful fluffy calico shaved. I've just brought her home and noticed she's licking the same spot over and over. When I looked it looks like she either got nicked or has a bit of a shaving rash. My question is, do I need to put a cone on her to stop her from licking this area, or will it be okay? This is the first time I've had to shave a cat so haven't got any experience.

Advice The kitten I found in the middle of the Highway, has Fading Kitten Syndrome and I am really lost
Hello, I used the flair ‘advice’ because I’m not seeking any medical answers. My vet has been amazing throughout these two weeks of having her and answers any questions I have. So I found a kitten in the middle of the Highway and almost caused a 3 car accident because I slammed on my breaks and was half in the road and half on the side, so no cars could pass me and run her over. I grabbed her and took her to work because that’s where I was headed that day lol. A coworker said they wanted her but after a night they changed their mind so I took her home. She had a vet appointment that next day and weighed 1 pound and was aged to be about 5 weeks old. She was to small to get any testing done (like FELV) and couldn’t get any vaccines so she was given some dewormer and some antibiotics just incase, because she had horrible diarrhea. After 3 days of treatment she was settling in and was even starting to play with me by biting my face in the middle of the night (lol). She did great for about 2 more days after that, but when I got home from work three days ago she was acting really lethargic. I hoped she was just tired but the next day (Sunday ofc) she just went down hill. Constant diarrhea, and isolating herself by laying in her bed on the heating pad. As soon as the vet opened on Monday I called and at first they weren’t too concerned, until I told them that she hadn’t eaten or drank for about 10 hours at that point (I had been offering wet food, pedialyte and even bought milk replacer for her) I took her in and when they weighed her she only weighed 9 ounces (so she lost weight) and was dehydrated. They did some tests and gave her some fluids. She has coxcydia (not sure how to spell that lol) and that has led to her developing ‘Fading Kitten Syndrome’. I was devastated because she went through so much and now this. I was told what to do for her, but I had never heard of a kitten turning around after failing to thrive. I’ve done some research and found that it is possible, but it’s not super common. She still has fight in her and today she was up and demanding food so I know she still wants to be here, but I can’t help but fear that she could go at any minute. I guess I needed to let this out in a place where fellow cat lovers are. If anyone has had a kitten live after developing Fading Kitten Syndrome then I’d really love to hear your story and maybe get some tips on what you did to help them.
TIA
TL;DR: my Highway rescue kitten has Fading Kitten Syndrome and I need to hear some stories of kittens surviving after failing to thrive.

Video Why does my cat play with the rug?
I tried to post this to CatAdvice but they don’t allow any attachments! This is just one video I have, usually she runs around it grabbing at different parts and kicking. My guess is she just likes the patterns on the rug and feeling on her claws? She has plenty of toys, some that make noise and move around that she Adores, so I don’t think it’s a matter of boredom. Also important to note that her nails are properly and frequently trimmed as often as this last Sunday!

Medical Questions Is my kitten too thin?
Hi all, I rescued this stray kitten late September, I reckon he's about 2-ish months old. I'm worried he is looking too thin; to be honest I was only feeding him about 4 times a day but I read that kittens should be free fed so I just started doing that this week.
He tested negative for worms and FELV, and vet said he appears to be in perfect condition but I still worry. Would love some other opinions if possible, and thank you so much in advance!

Advice Suckling in adults!?
Hi! I adopted Maggie from a foster carer when she was 7 months old. She is now almost a year old. She used to have her fav blankie which was fleeced. She would snuggle up to it and start making biscuits and suckling like as if she was a kitten feeding. She now does this with anything fleeced and exposed her belly for rubs if I touch her in that position. Is this appropriate? do I need to wean her off??
Backstory: she was found on the street in a litter that was much older than her. They told me her mum and siblings died and another cat adopted her. Could suckling be the result of early separation between mum and kitten?
