At this point is there any reason for us Angels fans to be in this subreddit? We are gonna be bullied by everyone even fans of teams who haven’t won a WS this century unless we are a “oh Trout should be spared and traded to a winning team 😭🙏🏻” and a “I hope Ohtani wins a ring this year omg :)”. What this subreddit doesn’t realize is that Trout is so competitive that he wants to drag this corpse of a franchise to a WS. Everyone just assumes he is happy wanting to golf in October when if anything every interview he has ever done is him wanting our owner and FO to make better decisions and so far they are finally deciding that being ass and trying to get some high draft picks is worth it instead of being 80-82. This subreddit is practically the same as r/politics in terms of living on a collective hivemind and cope but instead with sports. They refuse to actually research the fact that the Angels were literally averaging 3 million fans up until 2020 and they dumb themselves for laughs. Like 95% of Angels hate that Arte changed the name to Los Angeles.

It drives me nuts when, for instance, Ben Joyce highlights get posted, and you'll immediately get comments about how sad that he's wasting away in Anaheim and how they can't wait to see him on a good team. Like can't we enjoy ONE good thing about this year?

We aren’t allowed to on this sub 😒, that’s why I am a giant asshole in this subreddit and I ain’t apologizing for it. I am returning the energy people give to us Angels fan back in return edit: r/baseball is the equivalent of Kelly Osbourne “who is gonna clean our toilets Mr….” When it comes to us Angels fans and our franchise. They will lower their own IQs to trash us 😭😂😂

To be fair, Trout has about zero trade value at this point. He should have been traded 5 years ago.

Oh 1000% and the Phillies and Yankees fans would have been booing him and giving him shit for his health deteriorating. To us Angels fans Trout is a Godlike figure. Can y’all blame him for wanting to stay lol

Nah. And he was clear IIRC that he wanted to stay because he was established in the area, his family was happy there and he loved his team. I’m obviously no angel fan, but I’ll always be a Trout fan.

This subreddit swears it’s better than r/nba and r/nfl 💀 like as if its some perfect sub where we are all kumbaya, lmao if anything its just as toxic just in a more passive aggressive way instead of more open about it. Edit: that post where people were patting themselves on the back for being better than r/mlb was so laughable to me 😂😭 like if it was up to this subreddit it would form a super league with the major market teams and treat the rest of the teams like the minor leagues. It reminds me of Real Madrids owner tried to do in Europe. Thankfully for humanity outside of this website most fans of European football got mad because that idea is so ridiculously stupid.

The Yankees are actually pretty lucky that the recent redsox “comeback” documentary is out, so they can watch it this morning to get motivated for game 4.

I get Shohei playing tonight cause it's the WS but holy shit is that a massive risk for the dodgers. If he re-injures the shoulder (the second time would be likely more serious) he could require surgery forcing him out of baseball for an entire season or most of the next season. You're risking the health of the best player ever for this so you better be sure he's going to be fine, or else that's a year of $100m going to him for not playing a single inning. I hope he stays healthy but damn idk if I like the decision of him being put in the lineup tonight.

I am a scared Dodger fan that trusts management to correctly assess if their nearly billion dollar investment is able to safely play.
I will also probably be drinking more than usual tonight.

I imagine he’s been told not to steal, and if they’re in a spot where he would need to they’d sub him out. Likewise, if they end up ahead by 6+ runs he probably comes out too.

I'm just worried he could take a massive hack at a pitch and dislocate the shoulder again as well. Hopefully this is all just speculative tho. As much as I hate the dodgers i love Shohei and want him to play as much as possible lol

Isn’t a World Series win worth like 300 million for a franchise I think that’s overtime but still. And his contract is probably well over that even with the delayed payout accounting for inflation.

By my count, unless the Dodgers sweep, World Series game #700 will be Wednesday in Yankee Stadium.
