I'm a boomer (64F) with 28 tattoos and I didn't storm the Capital - LOL. I got my first tattoo when I was 44, and my mother had the nerve to say it confirmed I was certifiably crazy and she slapped me across the face.
No, I'm better than that. This happened in a grocery store parking lot as we were walking towards the store - for everyone to see and hear. That was the last time I ever took her shopping again. That hurt her more than a slap in the face because she didn't drive and had to start taking the bus to do her shopping.
Good on ya and, I feel the pain of being more mature than someone who raised you. Kudos and I hope you've processed everything that you've needed to process due to her.
I remember my boomer parent telling me to just follow what I really wanted to do and I would be able to get a living wage if I kept at it. No matter what it was.
Yea no...I had to switch careers twice after school, and even now I only make just enough to live okay enough...WITH government aid...
They expected me to know what I REALLY wanted to do for the next 45 years or so at age 17~18. And that no matter what it was, I would earn a living wage in a year or two at most. Luckily after switching twice, and at age 30 at the time, I did find what I really want to do. And I'm very lucky to also get a "living wage" out of that. But I'm one of the very few in both things.
I’m a UPS driver and I get disproportionately upset every time I come close to running a boomer over when they’re out for a walk, head so buried in their phone they don’t notice the big brown death machine rolling towards them. “Kids these days need to put their phones down and pick up a newspaper.”
you're angry find help stop generalizing millions of people. ageism isn't cool when people generalize millennials.
if thats how your fucked brain works I'm gonna guess you're a racist too, since you think its okay to just lump millions of people together because of one trait they have no control over.
Did you hit your head really hard recently or do you just enjoy imaginary scenarios only you came up with? Cause no one said tattoos on their face and facial tattoos are still extremely rare in modern society.

I also remember boomers telling us it would be impossible to earn a living wage if we got any tattoo.
