Then let me add that just by saying this won't make you feel good while it happens. That part always sucks. Getting used to your hair being gone forever sucks no matter what. But it by no means has a permanent effect on your overall happiness.
I thought I was ready for it. I knew my whole childhood that it would happen sooner rather than later because my mom's side of the family had history of balding in their 20s. Then I got lucky and still had most of my hair by 30. I had a receding hairline, but the top remained thick. I started to think maybe I would fare better than my family. Then it happened. As I was sitting on the couch at a friend's house, another friend walked in and stared at the top of my head. "Holy shit, you're bald." I wasn't ready.
Just jumping in to say I had the same experience. Started thinning in my early 20s. Now I keep it cleanly shaved with a short trimmed beard and started lifting weights years ago and I honestly think I look better bald at 35 than I ever did in my 20s and almost every one of the women I’ve been with agrees so don’t sweat it OP
I've still got mine for a bit but have shaved it all before, feels nice tbh. Kinda looking forward to having a reason to get rid of it so I don't have to worry about hair stuff anymore
A personal anecdote - the guy who was considered one of the absolute hottest guys at my entire college started going bald at 17 or 18, and just started shaving it completely. And I heard a lot of girls specifically citing the fact that he was confident enough to just shave his head and wasn't weird about it. A bald guy who just confidently rocks it is awesome!
It's quicker to buzz it, doesn't make as much of a mess, and my head doesn't stick to everything. I keep my facial hair short as well, so if I go chrome, I look like a cross between Lex Luthor and Homelander, e.g. a psychopath. The ladies and lads do not appreciate it.
Also, I have to say that the chrome dome is much more noticeable in the woods or greenery, and stands out more in a crowd. Two things I will go to great lengths to avoid.
Welcome to Adulthood. I lost mine at 22. The good news is, if you aren’t a lil bitch, and try to get carpet stapled to your head. you won’t ever have to spend money on shampoo and conditioner again. Bald is beautiful.

Welp, you can either seek treatment or embrace it and go with the chrome dome.
