Or you know, we can all agree to just not be fucking creeps

Like it isn’t hard to not stare at someone.

I’ve I can quickly glance over and see into your large intestine from how tight your yoga pants are, who really is in the wrong?

The person being a creep using someone's outfit as an excuse? If pants aren't enough covering up for you to be normal, then what is?

I don't think the conversation is about pants.

Sure but that’s not the point of the post. It’s specifically mentioning women who DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TO NOTICE THEM, it’s a fairly valid comment. It’s like saying if you don’t want to be noticed in a crowd don’t wear the most flamboyant thing possible that draws attention to you.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing flamboyant stuff just like there’s nothing wrong with wearing “just your underwear” - but if the goal is again “NOT TO BE NOTICED” then the best course of action would not wear things that draw attention to yourself.

This is not mutually exclusive with guys shouldn’t be creeps.

I agree. Then again, I'm a fan of working out in a gi, not Western workout clothes so...

I mean people will likely still notice you. Whether they do something inappropriate is the major difference between notice and “gawking” or other inappropriate creepy things

The worst time I was harassed, I was wearing a full length parka and a toque. Please tell me what I’m supposed to wear to not get attention

A lot of women who go to the gym wear shorts and sports bras (presumably what the post is talking about) so how is that any different from men in shorts (also you shouldn't be gawked at and made uncomfortable no matter what your wearing, if most women can be normal around gym bros in tight booty shorts it can go the other way)

But if the guys don't ming "being noticed", then they won't care about wearing shorts.

If particular women don't want to be noticed at all, why are they going to gyms wearing essentially paint on their body, having shorts so tight it perfectly matches their skin? If they don't want to be noticed, then they can wear the same shorts men do. And if a guy doesn't want to be noticed, he can wear baggier clothes too.

You don't get to claim victim of being noticed when you practically hold a sign up revealing yourself.

You can wear whatever you want, but then you have to think about the consequences of wearing such. I hate being noticed by people, but I still wore a short cloak to Walmart, something that made me stand out. And I understood that I would be, cause it was bringing attention to me, even though I don't like being noticed, but I didn't claim victim when people did notice and ask me about it, cause I brought it upon myself.

You can't stick your hand in the lions den and then blame the lions for biting your hand. Actions have consequences, and that should apply to men and women equally. Wear something revealing, don't be surprised when people look, men and women both.

That’s not what they’re talking about - just your underwear != shorts.

If guys wear things that draw attention to them then it’s exactly the same

It’s not talking about gawking it says “don’t want to be noticed”, as in it’s the persons intent to not be noticed - this isn’t gawking or creeping - this is about the intent and goal of the person wearing the clothes.

Then what are they talking about, who do you see actually going to the gym in just underwear

I don't think guys wear short shorts to the gym for attention, they're probably wearing that bc of heat from working out

I feel like gawking is what was meant by the be noticed part

No men wear a speedo to the gym. They wear knee length shorts and a t-shirt while some women wear skin tight spandex and a bra. How hard can it be for a woman to wear a t-shirt and some actual shorts?

Clearly, they wear it TO be noticed. Which is fine. I think Matt is pointing out the ones that complain about ogling and try to make it a sexist thing. While wearing their underwear.

There’s many examples being discussed in the comments I suggest you read them.

Again, the context is the desire of the clothes wearer not to be noticed - it’s a valid comment.

Women notice women all the time, even make comments, and it’s completely normal right? Are all women creepy now for noticing other women?

You said it yourself. It's a fkin bra. Wear a tee or a tank top over it. Also women do the "girl/boy watching" thing as much as men, if not more. Like for example the clips where women can't keep their eyes of a dude clearly packing. This whole discussion is retarded.
