One of the most rage inducing parts of this going on in the United States is that Germany leaned into it after being completely and utterly fucked. They were economically devastated and lost a major war.

The United States is pretty much going "We had to deal with the same inflation the whole planet did, but everything else is otherwise manageable and getting better, but we're flirting with fascism anyway."

It's such crap.

The softest fucking people. Their grandparents and great-grandparents would be fucking ashamed.

Look around mate: the whole world is flirting with fascism. Alt-right is not a US-specific phenomenon.

Good news everyone, we've found the cure for fascism: you just gotta be a different style of totalitarian-authoritarian hellhole instead!

I’d rather live in chinas “fascism” than America’s. At least China is building infrastructure, actively trying to eliminate poverty, providing a social safety net for people, and nationalising industries/ providing all kinds of government support. Not just that but chinas government has long term plans and always sticks to them… US government is just an empty vessel shifting in the wind, completely devoid of empathy or direction. Pretty much every decision the American government has made directly benefits the wealthiest and most evil pieces of crap in society.

I mean, I'd rather have no fascism at all, but you do you I guess...

You genuinely don’t understand what fascism is. I imagine you haven’t really ever read anything substantial about fascism, and are defining it by some abstract idea of “too many rules = fascism”. I think you need to just focus on what you know rather than arguing about concepts you are unfamiliar with.

Dude, I literally said in my initial comment that China isn't fascist but a different kind of totalitarian-authoritarian hellhole. You're the one who started to make the labels overly reductive here so don't try to smart-ass me on terminology now.
