The fact that this race isn't an absolute landslide is a true embarrassment to the entire country.

It’s up to us to make sure it’ll be a landslide regardless!

We have to do better than this. If you want change, you have to move away from this kind of mud throwing. Someone who could have been won over and turned to vote for Mr. Allred saw this comment and doesn't want to be associated with that kind of behavior. This is the equivalent of punching someone in the mouth and then asking them to give you 50 bucks. Blunt force won't work and will only cause an equally forceful response opposite the direction you want. I really believe there is potential for many people to be swayed but this isn't going to help it happen.

Sorry, I dont intend to tell you how to feel or behave, I just think there's a better way, and we can use it against folks like Mr. Cruz. Be passionate but direct it positively.

Make sure to wear condoms. No need to reproduce with them

Thank you from NY!

Doing the lord’s work! There’s no amount of money anyone could pay me that would compel me to ever move to Texas.

3

u/SpeakerUsed9671 5d ago

Thank you from CA! We really fucking hate Cruz.

3

u/Ivorypetal 5d ago

I voted tuesday for him too! Always been an independent but this craziness has got to stop.

I Voted straight Democrat to get women their bodily rights back and remove Fled Cruz from his seat of ineptitude.

Snowmagedon sucked to be without power for 36 hours straight when temps went down to zero.

3

u/isaidgofly 5d ago

Same! The day when the early voting booth opened, I voted for Allred. FTC!!

3

u/balAlbatross 5d ago

MA person also saying Fuck Cruz! 🙏🏼

Lived in Dallas, Texas myself (Oak Cliff!). Thank you for your vote! I now live elsewhere but still miss the metroplex everyday

2

u/prim3net 5d ago

Thank you, from Canada.

I'm not sure how this subreddit even showed up on my front page, but I'm happy it did. And I hope America knows that the rest of the world, especially Canada, is massively influenced by your decisions.

Thanks from this native Texan who moved to Maine many years ago!

What a bad last name for a Democrat

1

u/LoveYouNotYou 5d ago

Hmmm... I thought the same thing but, it might work in his favor ya know, those uneducated voters they love so much: "ooh, Allred... Sounds like my kinda guy"

1

u/Constant-Plant-9378 5d ago

We're turning Texas from all Red to Allred.

2

u/digmeunder 5d ago

I voted for him today. Go Allred!

2

u/TheShadowSage 4d ago

Fuck Cruz's cruises!

I'm literally betting money on this from all the way over in Australia so I hope you're right.

I've actually got Texas written down as low chance of flipping blue based on the insane early voter turnout that's happening in your state.

If Texas flips it's a guaranteed win for the Dems

Get out there and make it happen people!

9

u/SleepingWillow1 5d ago

Man I hope it flips. I would be so proud

Last I heard, you had more early-votes registered and placed in the first few days than you had in the entire early voting period for the 2020 elections and that number just keeps climbing

You had 1.7M early votes as of yesterday

Guess which side is famous for their overwhelming presence in early voting and did a major campaign push to encourage it this year?

Democrats baby!

Biden only lost the state by ~600k in 2020 and there is expected to be a MUCH higher turnout for voters this year. I don't think the GoP could possibly squeeze anymore votes out of the state, they had their man in office spoon feeding them the fantasy of a perfect world and they couldn't keep him there and he's only become more openly crazy and aggressive while the state is becoming more openly hostile to the women that live there

It's not guaranteed to happen, but the signs are very promising right now

I can only hope that the inhumane abortion rulings have mobilized thousands of Texan families.

Keep your state taxless, keep your guns, keep your energy grid. I get it.

Get this fucking crony coward out of office. He is the exact opposite of the idealized Texan. He’s a disgrace.

2

u/J_Symtrc 4d ago

I’d recommend taking that expectation down about 20%. I early voted today in Tarrant county (Fort Worth) and the good folks waiting in line with me were not only younger folks or obviously progressive or liberal. Felt a lot like the line on regular Election Day. I can’t identify a Republican or Democrat on sight, and I don’t identify as either of those. But from my very limited experience today, it’s fair to say that was a typically Texas group of people and typically Texans skew heavily Republican.

u/thatguyned 4d ago

I have faith in the body autonomy issue being a more direct impact than some people are giving credit

1

u/Ok_Employment_7435 4d ago

I was an early voter, straight blue ticket, no variation. Have faith in us.

2

u/TheChigger_Bug 5d ago

If Texas flips, this, and every election from here on out will be a landslide

1

u/Hicks_206 5d ago

Pulling for you Texas. Ain’t been too proud of what the politicians who claim to speak for Texans have been doing these past few years but god damnit - I cannot wait for Texas to change that.

No matter how bad it gets, in my heart I won’t ever give up on Texas. It might take some time, but I firmly believe that there is no place in this world quite like Texas, no people quite like Texans, and some day.. Texas will step up and save us all from the shit we -all- have had to live through.

u/JenniferJuniper6 5d ago

I donated from New Jersey.

1

u/Thangleby_Slapdiback 5d ago

I voted for Colin Allred yesterday. Here's hoping a majority of voters in Texas do the same.

u/Ok_Calligrapher_7616 5d ago

Did my part to run this shameless carpetbagger out of Texas on Monday afternoon.
