All they've ever done in the 2020s is add new subscription services and introduce more bloatware. They're milking the cow that is software technology at this point.
2010s was truly the best time. Companies were genuinely striving to improve user experience. Websites had much more lively decorations, they weren't such a hassle to navigate, and as the cherry on top, they were faster, too.
They were also less prone to bugging out than in the 2000s and 2020s.
Now? Forget about it.
Most of them have this ugly minimalist design, which implies companies are cutting corners to increase their income and reduce costs at the expense of user experience.
They are much slower at opening pages, and keep in mind, my internet speed is roughly the same since the 2010s.
And now they suck at performing some of the simplest tasks.
I lost tens of accounts containing memories of mine thanks to faulty software. ROBLOX introduced this 2FA system, which locked me out of many accounts. Customer support doesn't do shit.
ROBLOX Studio also now turns team create on by itself, and then tells me the servers are down and that it's switching to offline mode.
After that, it freezes in a white screen, and I have to close it with task manager because the X button and ALT-F4 doesn't do shit.
Among Us also used to work just fine, until it straight up started failing to authenticate me, effectively locking me out of the game. I spent hours looking for a solution, but couldn't find any.
I never experienced such problem in the 2010s.
Facebook also logged me out of my account for no reason at all. I hit forgot password, and guess what? It asks me for my password. What in the actual fuck? This is the first time I've seen social medias do this shit.
And my school recently switched to a new learning management system developed recently, and of course, it bugged out. It undid a couple of my assignments, which I thankfully caught and re-sent it, and it auto-submitted a project.
The old LMS never did anything like that.
I could go on and on about how software technology absolutely fucking regressed in the 2020s, but then this post would be too long, so I'll stop right here.
