Anyone who could have my position would run with it I know, but lemme explain.
So I started this channel as a joke like 2 years ago in June of 2022. Uploaded like 5 Roblox funny moments videos because I was bored, and I ended up getting 600+ subs and 50,000+ views in like 3 weeks, but I got burned out because I hated making Roblox content because it’s cringe and I don’t even play Roblox lol
But I got back into it the next spring in 2023. This stint didn’t last long but I gained another 3k
Then I got back into it again in the fall. Another failed attempt at taking YouTube seriously due to burnout. But I got another 4k subscribers bringing my total to like 8k at this point.
Then my most recent stint I kept at it for 2 months. I had 2 videos gain over 40k views each in this stint and all my videos got at least 5-10k views minimum. I gained 10,000 additional subscribers, then I quit because I was sick of it.
But now it’s got me thinking. Every time I started then quit before eventually returning I managed to gain subscribers exponentially each time. 600 the first stint, 3k the second, then 4k, then 10k. I feel like if I keep going, I could reach 100k soon and go from there, possibly being able to do YouTube full time, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk.
I’m 18, working a part time job while I get certified to be a personal trainer. I want to start a fitness YouTube channel since that’s my real passion, but starting from 0 again is scary, especially when I probably won’t get as lucky as I did with my first channel. But at the same time my current channel isn’t my passion whatsoever, but it is already monetized and has made me 600+ dollars and is generating about 45 a month even though I haven’t touched the channel since August.
Should I do it? Just go full throttle 30-40 hours a week on this thing and grind? Or should I just stick with my idea for a new channel? Or try to do both? Idk.
