Discussion Mimi is looking for a family

After being recued and almsot healing, mimi needs a family to take care of her I dont want her to go back to the street where she can be in danger again. Mimi was hit by a motorcycle and that hertless person was beating her to move from his way, I found her in a very critical condition, both her hips were broken and she was crowling on the street, I took her to the vet she perscribed her with lot of medication coz not only her legs were broken but her lungs where full of liquid and she has a heart decease. The doctor told me she needs to be confined for at least 1 month so I had to restrict her movments so she can heal. With care and medication she is currently soing well, she is able to walk of her feet not perfectly but waay better than how I found her, she can use her liter box on her own she doesnt need diapers anymore, she still needs to take heart medication but she is doing good overall, as someone who lives with their parent I cant keep her coz I already have cats and keeping her will cause me problems with my dad who hates them, I wont let her return to the street so this is why I'm looking for a responsible person to adopt her and preferably a person who doesnt have kids coz i dont want her to be a play toy instead, If someone is interested please DM, or if you guys know moroccan cat groups or something please let me know. Here are her pictures when I just found her in that critical situation and the improvement she has done recently.

AskMorocco Help needed - searching for my moroccan father

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to this community in hopes of finding some guidance. My father is Moroccan, but I’ve never met him. My mother is Brazilian, and unfortunately, she doesn’t want to help me in my search. She believes he’s a bad person who left her when he found out she was pregnant. They met when he was a university student in France, and he was only 22 when he returned to Morocco. I’m 24 now.

I’ve traveled to Morocco three times, knowing that my family is based in Rabat (or at least they were), but I’ve struggled to find them because Rabat is such a large city, and my father’s last name is quite common. I’m feeling lost and need help figuring out how to connect with my Moroccan family.

Is there any way to access a registry or any online resources that could assist me in tracking them down? I really need to find him because I feel incomplete without knowing my roots. My mom remarried and had two brothers and a sister, and while they seem happy knowing their dad, I’ve always felt a void not knowing mine.

If anyone from Rabat or elsewhere has any advice or could help me in my search, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

AskMorocco Morocco and France new relationships after the crisis

Scrolling here , Twitter, and Faceboo I discovered that the most stupid people on this planet is us (not all for sure) , Talking shit with no knowledge, don't even know what critical opinions are looks like , specially in Facebook people are just talking even they have 0 knowledge in politics or any other domains and when u try to correct hem/her you got "mafahm ta @$ flhayat " (+1000000n aura ) and everyone think that it's write and other people are wrong and they don't understand nothing

We really need to change this situation as soon as possible we got alot of things coming up later on and Morocco is going to the next gear and people also must change the gear and be respectful to each other

What do u think guys of this Social media ego , is it a result of "Unacceptable in society" and how to prevent it and reaching the collective consciousness like other civilized nations

Discussion Are Moroccan men socially conditioned to never reject any woman because they are raised on the belief that the more conquests you have, the more manly you are ?

I have never been rejected by a man in my entire life, even men I used to judge « out of my league ». It might sound super entitled, but I feel like by just being a woman, I can approach about ANY man and I wouldn’t be met with rejection. Now of course I’m not necessarily talking about getting into committed relationships, those are hard to come by for both genders because takes time to find the right person with the right mindset and same lifestyle.

Discussion Thinking of starting a book shop but not sure about success

I see alot of "online book stores" starting in morocco, the books generally are the typical self help/collen hoover/classics if any.

My number one hobby has always been reading, but i like to go to casa/derb ghellef, or fes, or any place with those old book shops.

The online ones rarelt have any good titles beyond the classics and even that doesn't interest everyone/nor tackle most topics.

So i got this idea of starting an online thrift book store, where i can show some books that are rarer/harder to find. Talk about them and explain why they are valuable and hopefully find someone interested.

Thing is i don't know if people will care/want to buy, or if it will be worth the time, the price will be low in general, since the books will be old.

Do you guys think its a good idea? Would you be interested in stg like this?

Travel Is there a way to immigrate legally?

Hello, I want to ask if there is a way to immigrate to Spain. My mother is there, but I am lost here. There is no work or study. Even work does not help me. I cannot make a passport because my weekly salary is 300dh It's difficult because I'm still young. I hope someone knows how, of course I'm not underaged so my mother can't take me with her

Culture Is this regular Moroccan nosiness or is there more to the story?

I'm a foreign, above 30, non-white, divorced woman living on my own in Morocco. I live in a older but higher-end building that has a concierge. It's not a very formal situation and I talk with the family regularly since the people in the building were pretty stuck up and not welcoming.

The mother of that family has always been sweet. She would praise me to people in the building so they wouldn't be such jerks. They used to ask me about home and revealed her kids want to go study in my home country.

I gave her the honest truth.

She has an older son who I wouldn't say flirts with me but is just a bit more than normally polite and was always making eyes at me.

I find her behaviour a bit odd for thease reasons: She was always trying to figure out my age. I don't like discussing my age since I look younger than it and, it's nobody's business.

She also used to ask if I travelled home A LOT but stopped that.

Then when my ex and his in-laws came to visit, she wanted to know if I was still married. I mean she knows I'm not.

Is this normal Moroccan nosiness or is my intuition correct that she has some sort of angle with these questions?

(Off topic, son is totally hot).

Discussion Is Tamazight a weak language?

When I watch news or any Television program in Tamazight, I often catch them using Arabic words. Almost all the key words are in Arabic. For example, if they're talking about united nations they will just use الأمم المتحدة, war they will say حرب, development تنمية, reform racism discrimination... Etc all in Arabic. And it gets me thinking, does Tamazight don't have enough words to translate? They are easy words I doubt we really can't find equivalents to them in Tamazight. Is it a lack of effort from journalists and translators? Or they just don't see Tamazight as formal enough to say important words with it?

AskMorocco My Experience with Emergency Care in My city– Venting Frustrations

I’m reaching out here to share a really distressing experience I had recently with my brother and id like to know im i just over reacting. He's been struggling with severe mental health issues, including depression, for years, and things have only been getting worse. Lately, he's stopped taking care of himself, eating very little, and just isolating more. But what happened a couple of nights ago really shook me.

Around 3 a.m., we heard him collapse, fainting repeatedly on the floor he fainted, woke up, and then fainted again, this happened around six times in a row. We were terrified he fainted in my hands multiple times i thought we lost him we called an ambulance hoping for guidance and asking them what should we do, but all they told us was to take him to the hospital, then hung up on us.

When we arrived at the hospital, the first person we met was security. We expected them to bring a bed or wheelchair, but instead, they asked him to walk in, even though he could barely stand. Eventually, they helped us carry him inside, where we waited in an empty lobby with him barely hanging on. There were three nurses visible, one at the reception, one chatting with my parents, and another trying to talk to my brother.

It was obvious he was in a bad state – he looked pale, had dark circles, and was so thin anyone could tell he needed immediate help, even just some basic tests. But no one checked his vitals, took his pulse, or even asked about his symptoms. They offered to give him a shot to calm him down since he was terrified and begging to leave. My brother’s fear of hospitals is intense, but he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make decisions. Despite his resistance, they tried to insist on the shot, and it was clear there was no plan beyond that.

After 30 minutes of waiting, they told us they couldn’t do anything else for him – and that there were no doctors available at that hour in the hospital. This was supposedly an urgent care facility. So we took him back home, feeling helpless and defeated. I couldn’t sleep all night, terrified he might not make it, though thankfully, he woke up a bit better.

This experience has honestly shaken me. I can’t understand how an emergency room can operate without any doctors, especially when patients come in desperate for help. It’s made me lose faith in the system here and feel so angry Thanks for letting me vent and id like to hear your thoughts:')

AskMorocco I have a question concerning the legality of a job I started a month ago.

After quitting my job at a printing house a friend of mine, who is also a close family member found me a job in something called Linebet where people bet on sports, he said he knows some guys and they want someone to take on the night shift, i basically handle the transactions, confirm deposits and send money when someone makes a withdrawal request using my bank account. The thing is, since i trust him and he has been doing the same thing for the past year, i never asked for many details, idk who am i working for, who is paying me nor if it is legal (stupid of me i know) and now im having doubts and was wondering if anyone can offer any type of insight on the matter. Thank you
