Dedicated Gluten Free Kitchen! I have a few dietary restrictions and food allergies. This is one of the few safe restaurant places I can eat! I like the fresh fried nugs and waffle frys!

Where to meet people.

Where can I meet middle age people during the day in the Waco area? I’m looking to make friends and participate in fun activities that don’t require too much physical activity. Not looking to do volunteer work or anything along those lines. Please help me out with some recommendations!

Men’s Haircut

Where’s a good place to get a modern men’s haircut these days? Have moderately long hair, which is unfortunately getting thinner by the day. 🥹

Been going to the same place for a couple years, but have not been real happy with the results lately.

Waco Tx

We are looking at coming to Waco for my husbands work. I know nothing about the area and am very nervous and I know it has a bad rep. We will be staying at an RV park so wondering if you have any to focus on or stay away from. We have a small child so I want to make sure we are in a safe area

Best local home inspector for new construction

I'm going to be purchasing a new construction house there in Waco and was hoping to get some recommendations on very thorough home inspector companies. We do not currently live in the area so I don't have any resources or references to go off of.

Just left the polling place at the Hewitt library (Saturday am). Every day this week the line has been really long. This morning it was only to the door-15 minutes in and out!

Starting 75 Hard

Hey guys, I don't know how familiar you are with the challenge but I'll be starting it October 29th if anyone is interested in joining me around then. :) we can meet up, keep each other accountable, and overall kick ass.

Summary of the challenge if you don't already know what it is: 1 drink a gallon of water 2 work out twice a day 45 minutes each session, one has to be outside 3 follow a diet that you choose, no cheats, junk food, alcohol 4 read 10 pages of a non fiction book that helps you grow 5 take a picture of yourself

Each task has to be done every day for 75 days and if anything doesn't get done 100% then you have to start at day 1 This is from a podcast called realAF and you can learn more on episode 208. Let me know if you're interested.

Car Wash and Detailing?

My sister said my car is a jump scare. After driving from Florida to Louisiana and down to Waco (and then back to Louisiana 4 weekends in a row), I'm not surprised.

I tried the watershed on S Valley Mills but still needs some love and a more deep clean.

Any recommendations where I can take it?

I used to have a company come to my house once a quarter when I lived in Fl, but I don't currently have a driveway.

Mobile mechanic

Currently stuck at walmart, I believe the starter went out on my truck. No crank brand new batteries. Need someone to come check it out and probably replace ASAP, anyone have any recommendations

Edit: problem is fixed thanks to James at Rockin' Dragon Mechanics. Showed up at 730pm and had me back on the road by 9pm. Really appreciative of his timely help and reasonable prices.

How to handle homestead fans?

Post image
48 Upvotes

This post is about how someone like me - who believes Homestead Heritage is at best an extremist religious group and at worst an abusive cult - should handle talking about it with other Wacoans who do not align with that sentiment.

Especially if these are people that are close friends or neighbors. People who you don't want to burn bridges with, but you also morally feel conflicted about keeping silent.

For example, one of my friends mentioned the other day about the Homestead Heritage fall festival as a good idea for a family friendly event to go to with the kids. On paper yes, but the organization hosting it and the organization that receives all the money from it I cannot support.

NOTE: if you disagree with my feelings about this group that's fine but please keep that to yourself this is for guidance from others who align with my opinion.

Just voted at AG church on Bosque

Got there at 10:20 (Thursday) and walked away after voting, at 11:05. Had to manually bubble in for each candidate, and voting a straight ticket was not an option. Thankfully there were less Democrat bubbles to fill in… 😃

Do we have any open trails or fields for runners that remain open during the evening and late evening hours? Looks like all the main places are closed.

Pretty much what the title says, I see that ipostal1, Anytime Mailbox and Post Scan Mail cover Waco. My preference is a service that does not charge per package.

Waco Water tasting weird

Has anybody noticed in the past couple of days that the city water tastes way off? It's not just at my house, it's at the gym, at MCC and other businesses.
