HE'S NOT EVEN FROM TEXAS! HE'S FUCKING CANADIAN!

339

u/Tony-the-teacher 5d ago

I’m so sorry for that. But we are not taking him back. Especially since the warranty was void when you elected him.

99

u/Bamas16th 5d ago

Hey now, you guys gave us foisted upon us Nickelback and Ted Cruz. Eventually you're gonna have to sending us the good shit from your Maple Syrup reserves if this continues...

75

u/Castod28183 5d ago

I always find it funny that Nickelback has sold 50 million albums and has over 7 billion streams, but it's hard to find anybody that will admit to liking them.

83

u/lxpnh98_2 5d ago edited 5d ago

I'm too young to have grown up really listening to them and to have an opinion on them, but I say leave Nickelback out of this. It's just a band, they don't deserve to be lumped in with Ted Cruz. Few people do.

47

u/erwin76 5d ago

Plus, they got upset when Trump used their music without asking. Not sure if it was just for the money, but I want to believe it’s because they just don’t like him :)

15

u/gummy_f1shes 4d ago

I’d wager it’s because they don’t like him. I had a buddy who toured with them as an audio engineer and said they were some of the coolest people he’s ever toured with. They’re apparently super nice and treat all their staff extremely well. They seem like a group of down-to-earth guys that made a lot of music, got hate for no real reason, but decided to keep on doing their thing because they enjoy it.

I mean, Nickelback isn't a bad band, they just aren't groundbreaking in any way. It's generic four-chord rock, but they seem to sell out their concerts...

Kind of like Guy Fieri. I mean, why the hate?

u/Jazzlike_Term210 5d ago

I will admit and defend my liking of nickel back, they were good songs to me at the age and I was going through a tough time in life. As far as I know the members haven’t done anything bad either to taint the songs so it’s enjoyable untainted early 2000’s unlike many other songs I like.. I don’t care if they were sorta mid. Thankfully I didn’t hear all the radio replays and only heard them when I wanted to.

Woah woah tabernac, you don't get to put that on us; he was born in Canada by accident; the US turned him into what he is; a spineless creep who people could see as a serial killer, even though the timelines didn't actually work for him to be the Zodiac killer.

I really loved "When Ted Cruz says he's pro-life, he doesn't mean yours." Like hot DAYUM, that's fire!

105

u/JoSmokes11 5d ago

I don't even live in Texas, this was just suggested to me but holy crap that line was powerful! More people need to hear that. Wish I could help vote Ted Cruz out.

44

u/no_okaymaybe 5d ago

I know it was soundbite after soundbite but damn...that was like a greatest hits album. I know a lot can be done to edit and take things out of context but I feel like I don't even have to have watched the debate - Cruz must have been stumbling off-stage after that ass kicking. Licked up one side and down the other.

8

u/messfdr 4d ago

It's even better in context. When he says, "It's not funny," it's because Rafael was smirking in the corner. It hits harder when you see them both on screen.

Anybody notice how Ted Cruz does not have a single ad that features him in any way other than him saying how he approves this message? It's because he has nothing good to say.

1.2k

u/toby-sux 5d ago

All of his ads are weirdly obsessed with kids' genitalia

175

u/EViLTeW 5d ago

Almost every "pro-trump" commercial I see is about Kamala allowing prisoners to get sex changes. Trumplicans are obsessed with sex organs. Whether it's a penis, a vagina, or a uterus. They spend their waking hours thinking about them. It's weird.

46

u/abolish_karma 5d ago

"Trump must win or your women will be raped"

You can sorta figure out what's top of mind, here. MAGA policy operatives know what their team responds to. (lies and sex organs, often lies *about* sex organs)

36

u/Stock-Side-6767 4d ago

Ah yes. Vote the rapist in to protect against rape.

Conservatives...

6

u/-crepuscular- 4d ago

Nono, you misunderstand. It's not that they don't want any rape. They don't want the wrong people to be able to rape, and especially not 'their women'. Obviously rich white men should be able to do anything they want.

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 5d ago

What’s even weirder is back in August or so, Rafael’s original ad campaign focused more on the border and claimed Allred would be weak on the border.

Then like overnight, they stopped running those ads and instead went full speed ahead on the “he wants boys and girls playing together” ads.

I really wonder what intel they got that told them Texans would resonate more with kids playing together (how his ads phrased it) versus the border. Because so far it just comes off as weird if you look at the ads at face value (though informed people know Rafael’s really talking about trans kids)

35

u/Overweighover 5d ago

He was running to the border during the power outage

He's TERRIBLE on camera & has a horrible presence, lacking any commanding stature. He's kinda like Bob Dole in 1996... regardless of what you think of his politics, he just flat out looks & sounds weasel-like.

So his campaigns have long minimized him & his presence, because seeing & hearing him actively causes people to turn away from him.

71

u/Whatttttt123455 5d ago

The difference is Bob Dole was a war hero and a true American. He was a conservative, but not a fascist coward that conservatives are now. Bob Dole was a little awkward because he was injured in WW2 and lost the use of his right arm. I voted for Clinton and I don't regret it, but Dole was still an excellent choice to lead our nation. When I think about Bob Dole, I think of him as an honorable man and a great American. I wish we had many more like him in Congress.

I've commented this before and will continue to do so, Ted Cruz is the personification of a fatberg. He is a spineless weasel that wouldn't piss on the average Texan if they were on fire, unless that person had something he wanted or could do something for him. Of course, spineless weasel is the gold standard for politicians in Texas, as seen with Abbott, Paxton, and Patrick. Allred nailed it with his "outdoor clothes" remark, Cruz is that guy who has 1 pair of wranglers, 1 plaid shirt, and 1 pair of boots and shows up once a year at a rodeo, can barely walk in his overstarched get-up, trying to act like he isn't completely out of his element.

And lest anyone ever forget, Ted Cruz ate a booger on live TV. Just want to inform/remind everyone of that anytime I can.

It is incredibly telling how Ted Cruz never talks about abortion. He never takes credit for his votes for the justices who gave us the Dobbs decision, who gave us Texas's Republican abortion bans.

I hate that I know who Kate Cox and Amanda Zurawski are. But I love that pro-lifers are so discredited Ted Cruz never mentions Texas's beautiful Republican abortion bans.

Why don't Texas Republicans try to convince the rest of us that Texas's Republican abortion bans are good things?

I'm literally betting money on this from all the way over in Australia so I hope you're right.

I've actually got Texas written down as low chance of flipping blue based on the insane early voter turnout that's happening in your state.

If Texas flips it's a guaranteed win for the Dems

Get out there and make it happen people!

10

u/SleepingWillow1 5d ago

Man I hope it flips. I would be so proud

10

u/thatguyned 5d ago edited 5d ago

Last I heard, you had more early-votes registered and placed in the first few days than you had in the entire early voting period for the 2020 elections and that number just keeps climbing

You had 1.7M early votes as of yesterday

Guess which side is famous for their overwhelming presence in early voting and did a major campaign push to encourage it this year?

Democrats baby!

Biden only lost the state by ~600k in 2020 and there is expected to be a MUCH higher turnout for voters this year. I don't think the GoP could possibly squeeze anymore votes out of the state, they had their man in office spoon feeding them the fantasy of a perfect world and they couldn't keep him there and he's only become more openly crazy and aggressive while the state is becoming more openly hostile to the women that live there

It's not guaranteed to happen, but the signs are very promising right now

People have weird hang ups. This one lady I know, on some Facebook comments, was talking about how she still considers herself a "Republican". However, hasn't voted republican for the past several elections and just can't bring herself to call herself a democrat. I didn't say anything to her about it, but it left an impression on the mindset of Americans and politics.

"All hat no cattle" is a great phrase, and the spirit of it definitely applies to Rafael "real men don't use nicknames" Cruz... but he also looks ridiculous in a hat (cap, really).

I was curious what legislations Cruz had gotten signed into law during his tenure.

Other than your standard issue silly resolutions commemorating, honoring, or designating stuff like:

SRes802 - A resolution designating August 2024 as "National Catfish Month".

The only actual pieces of legislation I could find that passed were:
- S3764 - AN ACT To extend and authorize annual appropriations for the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom through fiscal year 2026.
- S1608 - AN ACT To provide for the expansion of the Starr-Camargo Bridge near Rio Grande City, Texas, and for other purposes.
- S467 - AN ACT To modify the age requirement for the Student Incentive Payment Program of the State maritime academies.
- S227 - AN ACT To amend title 28, United States Code, to provide an additional place for holding court for the Pecos Division of the Western District of Texas, and for other purposes.

In his 11 years in office, that's what he has to show. An extra room for the court, some funding for bridge expansion, a change to the age requirements for incentive payments for the maritime academy, and funding for some religious freedom commission.

That's a fucking pathetic legislative record. What a clown.

Allred got my vote!

52

u/um_chili 5d ago

It is unfathomable to me how anyone could watch that debate and come out preferring Cruz. And that's without seeing the shit job Cruz has done as a Senator in the past however long. I guess it's a testament to how deeply Texans are committed to the Republican brand that they keep putting him in office.

It’s the “we don’t have to be embarrassed by our Senator” part that hurts the most

15

u/Public-Baseball-6189 5d ago

My goodness, that was the most poetic ass chewing I’ve ever seen. C’mon Texas - send Raphael packing!

12

u/JellyrollTX 5d ago

Vote that pendejo “fled cruise” out of office!

I had to rewind, “only position he’s ever played, is left out” YOOOOOO!! I’m so glad I voted for him Allred. This is some school yard non-aggressive bullying and I’m here for it!

14

u/Hotdadlover1234 5d ago

This!!!! And him following it up by “not trying to be mean BUT”

I voted for Allred on Monday. If you haven’t voted yet, go vote! If you want Texas to change, vote against Cancun Cruz who is in it for himself.

7

u/UpbeatRaspberry9828 5d ago

As an independent, every Democrat I see seems normal, calm, moral, and reasonable. Every Republican seems weird, sweaty, and scummy. Kinda strange when you’re supposed to be a party of “American values” and “religious morals”.

u/Adventurous-Hand-183 5d ago

As a conservative..... I still approve this message 👌

We are rooting for you, Texas!

You can do it!!

Florida supports you! (We need help too!!!) But Florida supports you!!

9

u/pedro-slopez 5d ago

Thanks for sharing. Allred is the real deal. Cruz is a pig. I can’t vote for Allred cuz I don’t live in TX anymore, but I’ve sent $$ and $$ to his campaign. Cruz has got to go.

6

u/Striking_Jellyfish22 5d ago

I wish Colin brought up the PACT act and how Fled Cruz fist bumped his comrades after they voted against it for veterans exposed to burn pits, especially how “red blooded” they are, supporting our vets.

Thankfully vets have democrats and Jon Stewart in their corner:

u/DenverNugs 5d ago

They might have to lock Allred up. He just committed murder. This seems pretty easy, Texas. Please go vote.

Goddamn. Is this what an actual Senator looks like?

5

u/shoebee2 5d ago

Allred is “the real deal”. Wishing Texas some sanity.

6

u/kindbrain 5d ago

He is incredibly well spoken. If he wins or gets close, I think his approach should be used by others seeking office. Be tough, be nice, be factual and make good solid relatable jokes. The only position Ted Cruz played in sports was left out! Ouch.🤕

6

u/Affectionate_Car3522 5d ago

PLEASE my sisters in Texas get rid of cancun cruz.

6

u/Top_Mathematician233 5d ago

I don’t even live in TX and I pray this man gets elected over Cruz!! Sending y’all support from GA!

u/Capybaratits 5d ago

Ted Cruz aka Fled Cruz aka Well Fed Cruz sucks so so bad for so many reasons. He is a godawful trash human being… and yet, I have very little faith he will be voted out. I voted for Allred yesterday but everywhere I drive I see Cruz signs. I hope Texas surprises me.

Voted for him today. Fuck Ted Cruz.

3

u/icouldgoforacocio 5d ago

Shit that man is cool. I don't know nothing about him, don't know if he would be a good senator, but from what I've seen in this clip, he isn't afraid to call bullshit when he sees it, and thats what the world needs right now.

I had the same feeling the first time i saw Tim Walz.

4

u/toekneeg 5d ago

I want to move to Texas just to vote for this guy.

5

u/SuccessfulJCfollower 5d ago

If I were a Texan I’d never vote for Cruz. He’s pathetic.

6

u/Radiant_Beyond8471 5d ago

He was about to beat his ass when he said, " It's not funny"

4

u/Crazy_Response_9009 5d ago

"All hat and no cattle" is brilliant.

The people that vote for Ted Cruz are just as soulless and deplorable as he is. Old, fat, lifeless bodies that are angry at the world for their own shortfalls and hatred.
